Researching Textile Flows

The first workshop approaches the question What happens to textiles as they move? through research and critical inquiry.
Expert input introduces different perspectives on fashion, textiles and their wider social, cultural and material contexts. Through short research exercises, discussion and conceptual work, participants investigate the relationships, stories and systems that textiles reveal as they move between places, people and contexts.
Working across disciplines, participants develop their own questions and approaches, tracing textile flows and exploring what becomes visible through closer observation and research.
